Teachers, please help!
I am starting to plan my wedding and my fiance and I would like to get married this coming February. I am a teacher and my fiance is a new teacher looking for a job, so we are not sure where he will be working in September. We were planning on having the wedding during the winter break in February (over presidents week) but I just want to make sure most people have the same week off. We are planning the wedding for Saturday, February 17th (that monday starts a week long vacation for my school district) Is this the same week most people have off? Thanks for your feedback!

Re: Teachers, please help!
you can check various school districts websites. some of them have the 2006-2007 school year calendars posted!

Re: Teachers, please help!
my home district and the district FH teaches in have that whole week off afterwards.
Great idea - if we could've afforded to do the wedding 9 months earlier, we would've been date twins!

Thanks for all the responses! That's a relief, I was afraid to book until I knew the majority of schools were off the same time. I think we might be booking tomorrow, I am so excited!!!

I'm not a teacher, but both my parents have been in several districts. They ALWAYS have the week after presidents day off.

Re: Teachers, please help!
I am getting married February 17, 2007... and I am a teacher! I have the whole following week off. I am taking the Friday and maybe the Thursday before off as personal days and then Sunday through Saturday of that week for the honeymoon! A lot of places that we looked at had the date open and we booked in December '05. I would get moving though, because every vendor I booked with asked me, 'Are you a teacher?!' I was like Yep... because I can't afford a summer wedding, the Februay break will have to do! Feel free to FM me if you have any questions, I've been having a lot of luck planning things and getting vendors for 2/17/07. GOOD LUCK!Welcome New Vendors
