What is the maternity leave policy in your school...Do you get a paid maternity leave or do you have to use banked sick days? Also, what happens if during your maternity leave there is a holiday vacation...do you still get paid for that? Also, what about insurance? Thanks for the info.
all i know is that in our district we have to use our banked sick days. after that you can borrow a certain amount but you must pay them back every year. im not sure about holidays.
For my district I believe you can use 30 of your banked sick days, you will get 20 back if you are out on consecutive days. Then I know we can take up until 2 years but the district can turn down the our request, which is unpaid. But the rest I guess I will be finding out soon.
we may use a maximum of 24 banked sick days with full pay. then we can take up to six weeks (family medical leave act) with no pay but full health insurance coverage. after that, there is no health insurance & no guarantee of your job when you come back.

We have to use our banked sick days but then we can do on disability I believe!
