Would it look bad if I went from being a teacher to a sub or a teacher assistant...I desperately want to quit my job in NYC...bad commute...horrible principal
If I did sub or get a TA job I would start my reading certification...
Would this look bad on my resume...honest opinions please

Re: Teachers..another question
I think I just answered onme of your q's on another forum,. but honestly it won't look bad. In my experience, distircts want to hire people that are familiar with the district - and being a TA or a sub does just that. I was a perm. sub until March, then got a leave replacement for the remainder of the year, and now was hired as a probationary teacher. I think going for reading is a great idea...it opens up more doors for you.

I just don't want to screw myself...I cannot go back to this job..I really can't. I posted this on the '06 Board...just got a call from a lady I work with who wanted to see if I got anything and when I told her of my plans to quit she was like you can't do that...it would look bad
