Are you inviting your principal to your wedding? Are you sending a save the date or just the formal invite?
I love my principal and will most definitely be inviting her, just didn't know what to do with the STD.

Re: Teachers..(inviting principals)
I invited both the principal and assistant principal. The principal is a family friend so of course she would be invited and I invited the assistant principal because I love her and she was one of my teachers when I was in school. They both got save the dates and formal invitations.

Re: Teachers..(inviting principals)
Very funny to see this post as recently, my mom who is a Principal wasn't invited in her teacher's wedding and was VERY insulted.I didn't see the 'big deal' but to her, she thought it was improper etiquette.
I think if you want to stay on your your boss's good side, I personally would invite them... but then again, it's your wedding and you should do as you please. I didn't invite my bosses and have no regrets.

I invited mine, but did not send a save the date. I highly doubt they will come though.

Im glad i saw this thread! Im going to have to rethink this now, cause added the principal will probably mean adding a few extra people to (assist p, depart coordinator)

Re: Teachers..(inviting principals)
I am most likely inviting them both... (Principal and AP), however if I do I don't think I am sending them a save the date. I don't think I am sending anyone from work a save the date!ETA: Do you send them with their spouses?

Re: Teachers..(inviting principals)
FH and i work in the same school. i'm the administrative coordinator and work very closely with my prinicpal (who we call mom and can thank for helping to get us together when she was the coordinator - before becoming AP and then principal) so she's gotten a STD, as has one of my 3 APs only.
we also invited those people that we are friends with and the secretaries in the office since i adore them all. it was a tough decision and most were originally b-list until we did away with a 'b' list and made everyone 'a'.
it's a tough call. if i wasn't tight with my administration i wouldn't invite them or feel obligated too (like the previous principal would definitely not have been invited!)

Re: Teachers..(inviting principals)
I am inviting my principal but didn't send a STD to anyone in my building (but I could be an exception bc I am in a new building this year, but same district)... but speaking of inviting administrators, how is everyone (besides those of you who are personal friends with their principals) asking them for their address? I have a very professional relationship with my principal, I like her alot---but I feel weird just asking... should I go to the secretary? lol

Re: Teachers..(inviting principals)
Lara.. I think the secretary would be the best bet. I can ask my coworker how she did it and get back to ya!
I know my principal this past summer went to another coworker's wedding and I am pretty sure she would not miss mine..LOL. We get along so well. I am not planning on inviting that many coworkers. Probably 3, maybe 4 from my school.
It is so hard to decide who to invite.

Re: Teachers..(inviting principals)
PS..
Nic.. My fh and I met teaching at the same school. I am not entirely sure it would have worked if we continued to work together LOL.
Do you find it strange working together? Is this secondary?

I'm not inviting mine. There are 5 total so that's another additional table!! I'm already over 300 people!

Re: Teachers..(inviting principals)
I'm not inviting my principal or AP's, but I am inviting my chairperson (I'm a secondary math teacher) who was actually a teacher up until this year that we hung out with him and his wife outside of school...the principal and AP's I'm not close with at all!

I am inviting my principal. But I did not send a STD bc I don't want her to feel like she has to come.
