I invited mine...chairs and all principals. I thought it was better to invite them than not, out of respect more than anything else. Most of the time, they do not come so no worry with the numbers...if they come to yours they would show favoritism if they don't go to someone else's, so most have an unspoken 'rule' not to go.

Re: Teachers..(inviting principals)
Hi,
Just wanted to chime in here as an Assistant Principal. I never expect to be invited to a teacher's wedding nor would I be insulted if I wasn't. (Unless the principal was invited but I wasn't LOL) Especially if it's a school with a lot of young teachers because we can start to get invited to a LOT of weddings and it gets expensive!
That being said, it is always a really nice gesture and I'm always touched when I am invited!! I think if you like the principal and want her/him there you should definitely invite! As for Save the Dates..I would hold off just because things change very fast in schools these days and you could end up with a different principal by then!
Good luck :)

Lara.. I think the secretary would be the best bet. I can ask my coworker how she did it and get back to ya!
I know my principal this past summer went to another coworker's wedding and I am pretty sure she would not miss mine..LOL. We get along so well. I am not planning on inviting that many coworkers. Probably 3, maybe 4 from my school.
It is so hard to decide who to invite.
LOL Melody, now that I'm reading this again I realize it was you who wrote it! hahaha See how computer illiterate I am?
