Oh please take the day off if you are not feeling well! I am just beginning to learn my lesson about taking off for being sick and I have been teaching for 7 years! TRUST me, it seems like a pain in the a$$ to have a sub teach your well planned lessons- but if you feel that way, give the sub busy work, finish up on ongoing projects etc. so you can REST! You can always do your lessons the day you get back. Your health is MUCH more important!

feel better!

Stay home. I have been in an out of the classroom job this year and have been sick SO much less than last year. My kids came to school sick all the time. If you are feeling under the weather, stay home and rest. It's hard enought as it is to stay healthy.

Take a day off!! I always feel such guilt calling in!! Why is that???? I had no problem calling in when I worked in an office...maybe that's why I got fired!! (See my anyone ever been fired thread )

I try to avoid calling in on Mondays and Fridays and of COURSE THE DAY BEFORE OR AFTER A MAJOR BREAK IS A DEF NO NO

Take the day- you need it.
I am guilty of this myself- I don't want to leave my co-teacher alone even when I'm feeling blah, I feel guilty leaving the kids. But you are a better teacher because you took the time you need to take care of yourself and your life.
