I was feeling very confident that I *finally* found my colors for my summer2009 wedding. I fell in love with deep chocolate and Teal (like the color of a tiffany's box). I think it's such it's such a beautiful color combo. However my mother dropped a little seed of doubt in my mind. She thinks the chocolate isn't very summery at all and it won't match our oceanfront wedding. And I could see her point. Oh, since we're getting married on the beach, it is beach themed. Do you think this color scheme is all wrong for a beachy summer wedding? Please let me hear your opinions.
I'm having the same colors for my winter wedding. I think if you go with the blue with a small accent of brown it will be nice for a summer wedding. I wouldn't use the brown as a base color for most of the wedding, just a little bit of it here and there, and it's great for summer.

i think those colors are so nice for a summer wedding. my friend lives in florida and got married sept 8, 2006 and used those exact colors. Here is a pic...

I think those colors are beautiful together and beautiful for summer. They are earth colors, water, sand, etc.. They def work and you can do alot with it.

I agree! They would great colors for a beach wedding! Maybe don't over do the dark chocolate, but have it as an accent.

I think those colors are nice for summer. You can pull off that tiffany color anytime during the year and the brown looks absolutely gorgeous with it

YOU CAN HAVE ANY COLOR YOU WANT ANY TIME OF YEAR!
There are no 'color rules' when it comes to weddings. I'm having navy in August.
Choose the colors you want!

if it's not mostly brown, then you should be fine!! i love that color combo, btw. and i think it's very beachy!! brown driftwood, sand, etc.

No way I think its a beatuiful color scheme . Saw these place cards on this site with shells on the front with light teal backgroud and you could use brown lettering. Just lighten it up with the favors. It will be gorgeous

Very nice color ideas. It breaks from the traditional pastels for summer. You can do a lot with it, but don't overdo the brown. Accent the blue.

defnitly perfect!!! i did chocolate dresses for my may wedding!!! it was perfect!!! and anyways dont worry if its not the right color for the season.. its your day... REMEMEBER THAT!!!! DO WHAT YOU WANT!!!!

you could always do a lighter brown, and not go with a deep chocolate one. Taupe and Teal would look really pretty together.
But as all the other girls said, everything flies now. I did midnight blue and apple green for my April Spring wedding.

My sister did black for a summer wedding. As MOH my dresss was black and white. It was really nice and I even got to wear the dress again for a Black Tie wedding (no one had seen the dress before-it was FH family).

chocolate for summer is actually becoming very popular and i think it looks amazing. my sister did brown bm dresses and accents in summer and everyone was complimenting how amazing it looked. go for it! im doing sky blue and brown for august.
