Teeth whitening

Original post by Ericia

Hello,

I am not sure if this topic has been addressed, but I was wondering if anyone was planning on enhancing the color of their teeth or have done so already.

If you have or will, which brand would you consider?

Re: Teeth whitening ( long)

I'm a Dental Hygienist and I def rec going to a dental office for whitening. The OTC products are a waste of money if you want fast and long results. Most of the OTC whitening agents just remove the surface stains but dont get into the enamel to really whiten them up to their full potential, and you have to be careful of the application as well, you can really burn your gums.
The trays are good however the laser treatments are incredible. I dont know much about Zoom but I do know about Brite Smile. The results are fast and WOW, you see a dramatic difference asap.
The brite smile pen is just for touch ups, its like painting your teeth with the felt tip.
If anyone needs anymore information I will gladly help.
As for the sensitivity yes with the trays you will feel the sensitivity, I rec to rinse with ACT a fluoride rinse to remineralize your teeth and minimize the sensitivity. It can really hurt bad if you dont protect your teeth before whitening. But NOT everyone feels the sensitivity, if your teeth hurt now to cold you bet it will when you bleach them.
When you do the Brite Smile your gums and teeth are protected against the sensitivity therefore you wont feel any sensitivity.
Give it a shot its well worth it!!!
