Re: Teeth Whitening
I've done teeth whitening at a spa and it did nothing. I tried Crest White Strips for 2 weeks and it did make somewhat of a difference. But now i'm using Crest Vivid white toothpaste and i see a good difference.

Re: Teeth Whitening
Got mine from my dentist - cost $500 and it definitely WORKED! He made a mold of my teeth and gave me a tray - u put it on for about an hour each day - the peroxide is a bit harsh on your gums but i did it every other day instead of everyday and it still worked beautifully :)
well worth it -- let me know if u need my dentist's number

Re: Teeth Whitening
i am a dental hygienist so here is my response to this tooth whitening toothpaste is not a whitening agent it is more abrasive so it will help remove stain NOT WHITEN teeth Great for smokers!!
OTC products such as crest white strips are dangerous but will slightly work...maybe the ingrediant (h2o2) is the same as professional inoffice BUT it is a much lesser degree so in office professional bleaching is about 15% the OTC (DIY) is about 0.02% and no two people have the same teeth so you can actually chemically burn yourself if you do not apply properly and believe me i have seen these burns NOT VERY PRETTY AND VERY PAINFUL
AS far as in office bleaching there are two options 1. britesmile or ZOOM 1 hour bleaching ZOOM will work better and in an hour your teeth will be extremely white 2. Custom trays made for you that fit you we take impressions and pour them up with plastic over two weeks you bleach at home and control the results 3. doing a combo of both 1 and 2 is what i always recommend
Remember to get hollywood white teeth most actress/actors famous people have veneers which are porclein sheets custom made to go over their teeth
Teeth only get so white and results vary also whenever whitening you should do a 48 hour white diet eating foods that are not pigmentated such as red wine cranberrys red sauces because the first 48 hours your teeth pores are open and will capture stain
BLEACHING IS COSMETIC ANYTHING COSMETIC DOES NOT LAST FOREVER SO TOUCH UPS SHOULD BE PERFORMED EVERY 12-24 MONTHS
i work in NYC anyone want further info on whitening or dental related issues feel free to contact me

i am using Plus White and it has worked nicely. Nothing MAJOR but i definitely notice when i look in the mirror and that's really all that matters to me.

Re: Teeth Whitening
I hear whitening removes the enamal from your teeth therefore, causing the need to have to go back for touch ups.....
