I can't because my front tooth is bonded and it won't whiten and so will actually look worse if the rest of my teeth were white and the bonded tooth was darker (it already is a little) FH just had it done. It worked out well.

I have a bonded tooth in the front also. My dentist has been nagging me for years to let her take it off and improve the color of all of them. I think I'm going to bestow this as a gift on myself for quitting smoking one year ago in March. I always thought that's what I was going to do for myself anyway, and this is perfect timing.

my front tooth is also bonded...i have a consultation with my dentist next week...i want to have my teeth whitened and replace the bonding...im a smoker buttrying to quit so im hoping if i get this done it will help me finally stop

FH and I are going on Tuesday. I called and called around..most quoted me between 399-599. I finally found one for $300 each. We are getting the Advanced Zoom...its supposed to be the best, fasted, and newest thing out there. It takes a an hour and a half. I will let you know after how it goes.

I swear by crest whitening strips... cheap & just takes and hour a day for a week - I do it before bed while watching TV...
ETS: I like the white strips especially because you can stop when you've achieved your desired shade of white and not have them ending up TOO white (I always think of that friends episode where Ross' teeth came out WAYYY too white and he went to a party where there was a blacklight and all you saw was teeth!)

I was thinking of this too, also a bonded tooth in the front. FH had Zoom done and hes got zero problems with his teeth but said it left them soft. it hurt to eat some foods

I had it done years ago and I loved the way they came out. However, I don't know if I'd do it again- I was feeling shocks of pain shoot through my teeth at random times for like a good year after.
I actually just finished doing invisalign last week and got the permament retainer put on (behind your teeth-where you can't see- so your teeth never move again). and I was contemplating doing the teeth whitening again, since I am finally done with the invisalign trays. But everytime I think of it-I remember the shocks I felt going through my mouth.
I think it also depends where you go for it and what kind of treatment. I think mine was the zoom one. It was done with a machine in the dentist's office.

My mother actually bought me a whitening kit. It's called Kymaro Bright Wand & Night Wand.
I haven't tried it yet. I'm waiting till closer to the wedding...maybe June.

When she turned on that blacklight, the first time I saw it I laughed so hard my stomach hurt!
I've always wanted to get my teeth whitened, especially since I've started drinking like 3 cups of coffee a day (I've noticed a real difference in my teeth this past year ), but they're already kind of sensitive - they hurt when I eat cold foods - and I'm worried about making that much worse.

I say save the money & do the crest white strips...my fh just used them - and wow, what a difference....IMO - you should try those out instead.

I'm afraid to get them professionally done. Everyone who has had them done complains about sensitivity and pain. My teeth are already so sensitive. I'm going to try the Crest Whitestrips that everyone raves about at the beginning of June. If it works and I need to again, I'll do it like two weeks before the wedding at least.

For those interested in going to an office and getting it done check out this website...they have a special until next week.
I had this site saved in my favorites. I hae never been there so I don't know anything about them.
I have been using this 'hollywood' whitening system that you use while tanning. It was 20 bucks. It def works and there is no sensitivity and you only do it for however long your tanning session is. Each time I use it my teeth get whiter...I also use colgate whitening toothpaste which guar. whiter teeth in 2 weeks.
