teething tips

Can anyone offer any tips on dealing with teething.
My little guy goes *BONKERS* when his gums hurt and there is little we can do to make him feel better BESIDES Tylenol (and Baby Orajel -- which I havent even used yet cause the box said for babies over 4 months and my little guys not even 3 months yet!! - I am going to ask the Pediatrician today about it though) Plus when they bother him he won't breastfeed! Then I try giving him a bottle (cause sometimes he likes to chew on the nipple) but he doesnt always take it. So he winds up 'snacking' all day which is fine so long as he eats something.

And Ive tried teething rings in the fridge or warm and he doesnt like them. The only thing I found that he likes to chew on is the top of the tylenol bottle dropper!

I just hoping maybe someone can give me a tip I havent heard of.
THANKS

Hi you could try freezing a wet hand towel and let him gum that for a bit- he might like the texture. to your little cutie pie

Re: teething tips

Aidan never really cared for the cold stuff, aside from some Tylenol he has been chewing on this.

A friend recommended it as it worked great for her daughter, it vibrates as they chew on the rubbery star part. My son seems to like it!

Massaging Teether

ETA: I picked it up at BRU and have seen it at Walmart

I was going to suggest Humpheys # 3. It seems to help my daughter out when she is teething.

I meant to say, they told me you can use a pea size amount of baby orajel at three months :)

but it doesnt work well, even the ped said the tylonel is better

Re: teething tips

Try Hyland's teething tablets. They are homeopathic. I don't like having to give DD Tylenol so frequently. Between these and the orajel, she is less fussy. Sometimes we still need the Tylenol, but only when she is really bad.

You can buy these in the baby section at CVS.
