TELL ALL YOUR DC FRIENDS

it is not new...old but untouched!!! oops, i didnt realize that the posts that i were replying to are like TWO YEARS OLD!! there are only 11 posts on the whole board and 1/2 of them are by debsny and I!

Totally not wedding related but how do you like living in DC? My husband is trying to convince me to up and move there but Im not convinced.

i live in North Bethesda, MD (well really N. Bethesda doenst exist because it doenst have a zip code but it is the Bethesda/ Rockville border without the rockville city tax)

i lived in DC for 2 years and recently went just outside the city and FH still works downtown in DC but i have always worked in bethesda MD.

i am liking it more and more everyday. i hadnt really been to DC other than like school/fam trips when i was little and i thought city...like NY..well it ISNT! but Montgomery County MD reminds me alot of LI which is why i think i like it better. I felt like DC didnt have enough for me for the hassles (IE you can get around without a car but it is MUCH easier with one)

dont get me wrong, i like it here, sometimes i just miss 'home'

I agree! I recruited one friend - unfortunatly we don't know anyone else in the DC area who's gettting married, but we're working on it

hmmmm where else can we get brides other than stealing them from the knot? we should put a post on craigs list!

Of course we need to recruit vendors too... which could be tough considering all of ours are on LI...

very cool to know!

and to answer steph question, i love DC. we live on the VA side in Alexandria. there's all kinds of different areas to live in, weather is mild, i love the capital city vibe, and you aren't too far from NYC if you want to go home.
