Tell me about your worst date ever.....

I am asking this, because today, while I was driving home from my weekend with JT, I started to think about how lucky I am to have him. Then, that led me to remember bad dates I had had with other guys. So, I will tell you about my worst date, but please, keep me from dying from boredom and tell me about yours!
Ok, I'll start:

About a year before JT and I met, my mother BEGGED me to go out with one of her client's sons. She was really excited for me to do this because he was a music teacher (so am I), and he sounded so nice to her. Well, FINALLY, I said yes to shut her up. So a few days before the date, this guy emails me to ask me where I wanted to go to dinner. So I said that I didn't care where, except NOT to a steakhouse because I'm a vegetarian. Anyway, he shows up on the night of our date and he wasn't UGLY, but he wasn't really good looking. The way I looked at it was that his personality could make or break him. You know the kind of guy I'm talking about. Anyway, so our plan was to go to dinner and then a movie. So he says to me, 'Well, I want to take you to my favorite restaurant, I really think you're going to like it.' SOOOOOOOOoo, we get to his 'favorite' restaurant, and what is it? A STEAKHOUSE. HELLO LOSER! I TOLD YOU I DON'T EAT MEAT!!!!!!!! Anyway, I figure, ok, I'll eat chicken tonight, maybe he just didn't get the message. But then, he proceeded to say, 'SO, I know you're a vegetarian, but I just think it's ridiculous to not eat meat.' WHAT???? I thought I was going to spit on him. Anyway....so this guy was sooooo boring. He told me the MOST exciting thing he'd EVER had happen to him was when he got pulled over on his bicycle and a cop gave him a speeding ticket. I swear I thought he was going to wrap the tape around the black glasses right then and there! So we go to the movie, and HE TRIED TO PUT HIS HAND ON MY KNEE!!!!!!!!! I slid ALL the way over in my seat to the point that I was practically in the little kids lap next to me. Then, when the movie was over, he took me to get coffee, and he was talking about how he's really happy that I wasn't a freak like some other girls, and that he really likes conservative girls who know to cover their bodies. WHAT? What the hell was he talking about? Anyway, he proceeded to point out some girl that matched his description of a FREAK who doesn't know how to cover herself, and I see it's one of MY FRIENDS! And so I summoned her over and introduced her as my BEST friend and he didn't even seem to care, he just kept commenting in the car how ****ty girls like her are. (Meanwhile, she dresses like every normal girl in America with jeans and a shirt that fits.) Anyway, so we get in the car, now I haven't spoken for about 45 minutes at this point cause he won't shut up, and he says, 'So what do you wanna do next?' And I just said, 'GO HOME!' So he took me home and TRIED TO KISS ME AND I DUCKED! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, about a half hour after I got home, I started to feel sick, and it turned out I GOT FOOD POISENING FROM THE STUPID CHICKEN I ATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, sorry so long, but that's my story

I have a tie...

One guy i met in a club...when he picks me up...he called from his cell phone to tell me he was outside (one step above honking)...halfway to go eat...he tells me he just got back from his electrolisis for his hairy back...something I probably would have liked...but didn't want to know within the first 10 mins...


the second was a blind date and we obviously didn't click...so after I suggested about 20 things to do...and he turned each down, I said 'How about we go home'...and home we went...it lasted 45 mins!!

i had one.....
a blind date...
meet the guy looks were not great at all!
we go to a movie then afterward we are walking around the mall,
hes telling me how he use to have this big snake as a pet, but it got loose in the house one day, and they sold the house shortly after without ever finding it... and he found this funny.... then i also find out he doesnt have a car cause he hit it into the divider on a highway....and lets see after the date is going horribly and shortly before i end it(i think this was 1998)... he invites me to his sisters wedding in 2000

well, i have a good one!!
it was the brother of a woman i worked with and she set us up on a blind date....i was desperate and willing to give it a shot. i spoke to him on the phone a few times and he seemed like a nice enough guy.
then i went over to her house (he was living in the basement...might have been my first clue)) i saw him! my god! he couldn't have been uglier if he tired! he was big and fat and nasty. but i thought to myself...now lori, don't be so superficial, he might be a nice guy...give him a chance.
we went to a diner for some dinner, where the conversation went into how he got fired from his job THAT DAY!! and i don't remember what else...nothing too exciting. Some Army stories maybe.
Then he took me to Long Beach to walk on the boardwalk. It was hot and humid and really gross out, but he insisted on walking. I made sure to keep my hands unavailable in case he wanted to hold one....and then while we were talking he said my favorite thing ever....i'm still in awe of him for this....'So, I'm a racist, are you?'
I SWEAR!!!
exaclt like that. I had no idea how to respond. So I just sort of said 'Um, no'
The next day his sister asked me how it went and all i couls say was 'We're just very different people.'
A few months later I met Tom and WOW and I grateful!!!

OMG CAN I TOP THOSE!!!

I met this guy, I will call 'keith' thru the internet when I was like a senior in HS, about 2 years before I met FH. KEith lived in QUeens, and I have a few friends from Brooklyn who agreed to meet me at the Jamaica station to escort me to meet this guy. We had talked on the phone for 6-9 months before meeting. Well, he told us to meet him at St. Johns, since it was kinda close to where he lived....

We get there, ask for him, and they escort us to his office (he worked/interned there)....this guy turns around, IN a WHEELCHAIR...*(not that I ahve anything against handicapped, but hello--please at least tell me) and He proceeds to tell us he has MS...was afraid if he told us, we would not want to meet him....Then proceeds to go on and ona bout how he cannot walk AT ALL...and wanted us to walk with him to his apartment, as he wheeled along....Then when we get there, he wants us to cook up some hot dogs and hamburgers because he was having a 'bad day' and his hands were not in good shape....

When I tell you, we High-tailed it outta there in like 10 minutes flat----Wow...its one thing to ahve a handicap but its another to pretend you do not, and then just drop it on someone when they coem over, AND expect them to cook for YOU.....YIKES!!

That was the beginning and ending of meeting ANYONE from the internet!! I spent the weekend in Brooklyn with my guy friends instead!! We still talk about it till this day!!

i once almost met some guy from the internet until i found out he was stalking me (long story) and told me that when he saw me he thought i was (and i quote) 'slightly overweight and average looking at best'
and then he still begged for me to meet him!!!!

i accidentally gave his email address to some of my friends and my brothers....ooooooops!! apparently he had to switch his email because he was beign threatened!!!

Ok, here's another one for you girls. I guess this isn't really a date, but I met this guy at my college because we both had practice studios next to eachother. And he was REALLY hot and had awesome arms because he was a drummer. So, me being young and naive, saw that he drove this hot car and he was in a band and blah, blah, but SOMETHING made me bring my friend with me when I went to go meet him for dinner the first time we went out. I mean, you know how it is in college, you don't go out on dates, you 'hang out' with someone. So anyway, we meet at this diner, and we're all talking, having a good time, blah, blah. The check comes, and this guy was like, 'Oh, sh!t, I forgot my wallet at home, can we stop there so I can pay you back?' Me, totally believing him, was like, SURE! So, we get back to his apartment, and he sits down on the couch next to me, and my friend is on the other couch, and I'm waiting for him to give me the money. So a few minutes pass and he's showing me all these houses in some listing magazine that he wished he could afford and the next thing I know, HE'S SHOVING HIS TONGUE DOWN THE FRONT OF MY SHIRT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I SMACKED his head and we ran outta there, but then, I got the balls to walk back in and ask for my money. I still don't know how I was able to do that without KILLING him! I found out a few weeks later that he didn't even go to my school, that he stole the key to the studio and had been going when he knew no one would be there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was naive in college too, good thing I had 6 roommates in my suite because they all protected me from meeting with all the @ssholes!
