Well, I always used to get stood up by my BOYFRIENDS! The weirdo dates ALWAYS show up!
I think JT is truely the only normal guy I've ever dated. Other than that, they all had something not right about them!

What a relief it was to finally meet Dan! He is the most normal guy I have dated! I guess thats a part of the reason that we are getting married!!

The guy (if u can even call him that) before Dan was such a BIG TIME LOSER....BIG TIME.....For Valentines Day he gave me a box of Whitmans chocolates, but it was open, and he ate 4 out of them, telling me he knew I hated caramel.....................and a pink carnation!!! What a fricken loser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the relationship we had ended about 2 days after that0---and I stuck to my studies and roommies!

Let me pull one from the horror files.

The wacko alcoholic I went out with for five years takes me to his friends wedding. It was my 1st friend wedding - I get all done up great dress, hair done, didnt eat a carb for two weeks blah blah.
OK so this idiot wears the cheapest suit EVER-
Proceedes to get Pi$$$ I mean Pi$$$ drunk right?
He won't dance with me but he will do a large inempt break dance routine in the middle of the dance floor and proceeds takes down one one of the tables !!!!!! The bride was in tears
I broke up with him but went out with him again. I was not prepared to end the tourture yet.

Off the top of my head, IM thinking of 2 strange 'encounters', not really dates..

I had this penpal in Italy MANY Years ago. (over 10 years ago).. and we wrote back and forth for a year or 2. Cant remember for anything, where I got his name, maybe an ITalian magazine?
Well we wrote back and forth, send photos, etc.
I went to Italy one summer and he was ready to come meet me He seemed like a nice guy, but based on the last photo, didnt seem like 'my type', but I didnt wanna be 'Superficial'
Well he calls my grandmothers house while we're there, talks to my mom for a while (kissing up) and IM not even home at the time, so he gave her all the date/time info.

Well I felt awkward about meeting him alone, and he was coming with a friend since it was a really long drive, talk about 'town gossip', its bad enough gossip travels on its own in these little towns, on his way into the town, he asked several people where the 'american twins' were staying for the summer, and my friends (in towns this small you know every single person, personally, and being the social being that I am, they even knew where I Was and that I wasnt home yet) So now the whole town knows that 2 guys in a car, with a license plate from XYZ city, drove ALL THIS WAY to meet the twins
Well I asked my cousin to come, and my aunt (the town gossip) invites herself, and of course my mom was there, I Really didnt mind it being a little crowded, he seemed kinda 'clingy' in his last few letters.. so I needed them around.

Well my mom makes espresso, takes out stuff to eat, etc. As we're talking my aunt (Town gossip) is asking him 60 questions (I love her) and he proceeds to have his conversations almost completely with my mom and my aunt, as if he had to pass an exam with them (stories about his parents deserting him as a child and him going to his 'father' and saying 'HI I am your son' type stories) Which of course got to my mothers heart and she felt sooo bad for him... (Well it IS kinda sad...poor guy )
so I was just kinda 'oh wow' and 'really?' in the conversation... and I was biting my nails (didnt even realize this) and he goes 'Oh Anna, this is a habit Im not going to like' I wanted to fall over! Needless to say, I continued to bite my nails... He was like 'I dont like nail-biting, thats a habit I dont like' as if to say 'Better do something about it' He asked me questions like if I would move to ITaly, or that he would loveto move to America...

It just ended later on, like 'thanks for coming' of course my mom hugging him and hoping to see him again soon... My aunt (Ms Blunt town gossip) after he left goes 'Jesus Christ forgive me but you are WAY TOO BEAUTIFUL FOR HIM!! What are we gonna put YOU with HIM!!???? OH NO NO NO NO NO' As my mother yells at her for saying that, and my cousin dies laughing and agrees with my aunt...

It was just a funny encounter...

Then that nite, I had all this explaining to do when I went out

My story #2, was just a freaky stalker-guy that I worked with a Madison Sq Garden. I worked at the Food Courts, and he did also, and he would stand on the other side of the hall and watch me He knew I had not the slightest interest in even laying eyes on him and my managers were even made aware of the situation. ONe night he even followed me to the train station!!!
IT all just stopped, but while it lasted it was pretty scary....FREAK!

One time I went out on a date with a friend of a friend that I already had met and thought was nice if not a wee bit nerdy. So he paid for the movie tickets but did he offer me soda/popcorn/anything? Nope. Dinner or drinks after the movie? Nope.

Oh and he blew me off afterwards. I really thought I did something to **** him off. But turns out he has a thing for my friend!! She made him apologize to me! LOL

Actually the worst date I had was with my FIANCE!
He doesn't know. When I met him he was living her 6 months, just bought a car, and didn't make alot of money at the time. We went to (ugh) a flea market in the parking lot of the Yonkers Raceway!!! Yes I am serious. I was so upset because I liked him (we had been on 1 other date which was actually him cooking for me at his house) and I kept thinking 'this ****s what should I do?' Then we went to Palisades Mall and to Dave and Buster's and he played all these games and I just watched him. I was like 'oh this is insane'. But I went out with him again and it got better. Actually he did tell me months later that he was soooooooo nervous because he didn't want to blow me off because he was broke but he didn't know what to do with me on a limited budget. OMG. There are so many things to do around here for free....walk around in the city, go into Central Park.....but being new to the area he dind't want to look like he didn't know what to do. Oh well. Plus I was just out of the hospital a few weeks when we went out so he didn't want to do anything that would tire me out too much. So I can't fault him for that. He was being thoughtful...sorta! LOL

(he totally made up for it for my birthday a month later......brought me to the city AND dressed up that day too! We took a carriage ride through Central Park and had a few drinks in the bar in the Plaza hotel....Oh La la!!!)

I have a few.....funny now, but not so much at the time.

I met this guy online. He was from SI and was a fireman and we talked for about a week on the phone & just seemed to really hit it off. So we decide to meet by me and we goto dinner. All is fine, although there really isn't any chemistry. He does start talking about how his sister will love me and how its so rare to find a nice girl. Well at this point I'm like he's not really my type and he lives kinda far, but we'll see. I had bought him a Yankee cap as they were in the playoffs & I had worked for the commissioners' office & had these cool caps. I told him to come back to my car, well he loves the cap and then says 'oh we can still catch the last few innings of the game' so he asks to sit and listen to the radio. We were sitting there, not really talking and all of a sudden I look over & he has it PULLED OUT OF HIS PANTS!!! I was like, 'what the hell'. He's like I bet you never seen one this big before, go ahead touch it. I'm like put it away and I really got to go. I mean I still don't get how or why he was under the assumption anything was going to happen b/c up to that point we had not even held hands, kissed or anything and the conversation did not even go into that direction. I was shocked & then I started to get scared. I just said I really got to go its getting late, I'll drive you to your car. He called me a tease & said I missed out and left.

What I couldn't believe is he called 2 days later asking me out again. WHAT THE HELL?!



Next date from hell.....

Another guy I met online. We had spoke a time or two & many emails & instant messages were exchanged. He asked me twice to goto dinner but I had been busy, so he kept trying and I finally said yes. He tells me b4 he gets to my house that he has a piece of crap car & then shows up in a brand new PT Cruiser (so I was like what the hell). He is about 5 inches shorter than he told me and he is wearing white pants?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He then gave me a gift (a little scented candle which was very cute). I ask where we are going & he says it is a surprise. He drives into the city & apparently the restaurant he wanted to goto was closed, he gets all ****ed. He says, 'now what.' I suggest this place America which is sort of a glorified TGIF's or such (nothing fancy). He says lets order oysters for an appetizer. I tell him I really do not like them and he basically forces me to try one. I just ordered chicken fingers, well by this point I am pysched to get home & throw on my PJ's & he's talking about where we are going to go next. WEll the check comes and he hands it to me and says, 'you figure it out.' I guess we can just split it down the middle even though you had a drink. I seriously thought he was kidding. I mean I had about $15. on me. I just threw down my credit card. I was PISSED. i mean maybe I shouldn't have assumed he was going to pay, but he invited me to dinner! By this point I just want to go home. I tell him I'm tired. We are pulled in front of my apt. & he tries kissing me. I totally pull away. He says 'playing hard to get.' I say I don't kiss on the first date (not with losers anyway ;-) Then he invites me to a new years' party the next night. I'm like is he clueless or what?! He said I cannot wait, I get to wear my leather pants......

THANK GOD I AM NOT DATING ANYMORE!!!!

My one and only online dating story....
I met this guy online, he worked on Wall street in the city. We talked over th course of a week and he described himsewlf as tall dark and handsome...(I should have know then!!!! )
Anyway, We decide to meet in the city at the starbucks in the Village...me being the Long Island girl take the train all the way into manhattan to meet him. it was raining and he told me he'd be waiting out front with a plaid umbrella.
Well When I turned the corner it was Danny Devito's twin!!!! I straightened up walked right past him order a coffee and left never saying a word. I took the train all the way home..and never answered my phone or emails from him again!!!
That story sounds so bad, but physical attraction is a big part!!!!

my friend once went on a date to the movies and during the movie she went to reach into the popcorn bucket, which was on her date's alp....well, there was no more popcorn....but there was something else in the bucket! you can all figure it out.

so....to this day, i still giggle when we go to the movies and order popcorn!! FH knows about this, but has (thank god) never tried it!!

Oh I have a GOOD one!!!

I was in a car accident with my BF at the time and started to go to a chiropractor for treatment. OMG he was GORGEOUS!!!!!! I used to get all done up just to go see him, and after I broke up with my BF I went even more often!! He used to send me b-day cards and call my work all the time, but I didn't think he was interested, I thought he was just being very 'doctorly'. Long story short, he called me at work one day, asked me out and I literally fell out of my chair!

The Date:
I met him at his place and he invited me in. As soon as I sat down he says 'Ok lets go'.
He's driving looking for places to go and pulls behind a shopping center and says 'I'm going to kill you and adjust your dead body. HAHAH!!' Weird enough.....Then I mention my brother Tony (his name was also Tony) who he had met once in his office, and he says 'Ah your brother Tony, great name but he's such a fata$$!' Wow......
Then we're driving on this really curvy road and he starts telling me how his friend is such a good drunk driver and never hits the divider like he does when he drives home drunk. I was in an accident with a DRUNK driver! That's why I started seeing him for treatments!!!
We finally get to some bar and sit down. He starts preaching how I'm soo young and haven't lived and what do I want with an old guy like him? I say 'you asked me out!' He says 'Yeah but you wanted me too!'
During the time at the bar he kept going to the bathroom, then coming back rubbing his nose. (can you say COKEHEAD???)
FINALLY it was time to leave, and hes like don't look behind us but theres a cop! Start waving your arms so he doesn't pull me over! And he starts waving his arms to show the cop 'He wasn't nervous'. UGH
THEN were driving back after the cop turned off and he makes a comment about my pants. They were snakeskin and he says to me 'this is what your face is gonna look like soon'.
Pardon me?
'Yeah, your tan is AWFUL! And your hair is EVEN WORSE!!!!' Wow thanks!
Then the song 'Date Rape' comes on, he looks at me and says 'dont even think you are going to rape me tonight! There will be NO date rape! Only date murder...Hahahahah'
The final blow-we get back to his house and he says want to come in?
NO!!!
Ok fine, bye and he runs out and that was that. He called me 5 days later and says 'I wanted to make sure you got home ok' I say 'Yeah I just got in'. He says 'HAHHAHA that's so funny! Want to go out tonite?' NO and I hung up. THE END!!!!!

I went out with a coworkers brother on a blind date. She insisted on making it a double date which I thought would make things more comfortable..boy was I wrong?!! We met at her house in LI and went to TGIfridays for dinner. Her brother was cute but as for personality...UGH! While we were eating he tried to ask me questions but my friend kept answering for me which was driving me insane. So because she kept doing this I got kinda quiet and stopped talking. Well, we were sitting next to a window and this jerk proceeds to look at every girl that walks by and then proceeds to comment on them..even saying, now thats my type! CAN YOU SAY JERK?!?!

So we leave and decide to go back to her house and watch a movie or have a drink or something. We get there and hes still totally ignoring me. Then to make an already awkward situation even worse, he turns on a porn thats on cable and we are sitting there watching this! I almost died! How weird..and with your sister?!?!?!?!

So finally I say I need to go home, he had promised to drive me but since the date was so bad he didnt offer and I didnt want him to. I went to the bathroom and when I came out, he was GONE! He didnt even say goodbye..nothing!!!!!!

It was the worst for me and my friend but it was ok cause she realized he was acting like an idiot..

Fast forward about 5 years and now I work with the same girl at another job. He saw me when he came to say hi to his sister one day and told her...omg is that Noreen, I made such a mistake with her..**** shes married! Know what I say to that...HAHAHAHA!
