I sent ours 2 months in advance. Thats usually standard unless your wedding is a holiday weekend or something and then I would send it out earlier.

My invites where mailed out right after Thanksgiving, My wedding is in Feb. I wanted them out before the holidays

I woudn't send them that far in advance, however I'd send an STD out about a year in advance and then the invitations the standard 2-3months

We mailed ours out 3 months in advance - we had summer wedding & knew people would be making vacations plans - so we wanted to 'book them' for our wedding before they 'booked' their vacation...

same here... want them back by June 1st b/c i want that extra 2 weeks (June 15th will be one month from wedding) for stragglers.......

i am sending at the first batch out exactly 3 months from our wedding date (january 18th), for our b list, i will send those if necessary out on feb 15th for a march 18th rsvp date

same rsvp date for both send out dates

eta: why? well i was going to have 2 rsvp dates for an a list and a b list and i stil think its a good idea but it wouldve cost more for the invites. so since i dont want b list people to know they were invited after the a listers, i am sending the first batch out way in advance so if i need to send to b list people, the rsvp date will still look normal

our date is thanksgiving weekend as well...the saturday after. We are sending our STD's by next week the latest. The invites we were planning on sending by end of July/August..it's a holiday weekend so I want to have enough of a heads up (so I was told), we have a couple of out-of-towners and you know how fast Sept,Oct and even November fly by(at least for me!).

Well since I am an OOT bride with a lot of guests that need to book air and hotel, I am going to try and send my invites out right after the Valentines day rush. With an RSVP date of April 10, which will leave my guests around 8 weeks for planning, and myself 7 weeks from RSVP date till the wedding for the stragglers.
