I want to wear knee highs under my dress. I have closed toe shoes. I usually have to pee a lot and I am going to be dancing so much (i love to dance). THerefore, I dont want to deal w/ reg stockings or thigh highs. I will not be doing a garter toss. But mom still says I cant wear knee highs.

If noone is going to see them, who cares! Just be comfortable! You are going to be on your feet on day...you don't want to be unhappy it will reflect in your appearance! If being comfortable means being tacky...I vote for tacky!!!

Who cares... you need to be comfortable under all that material! To be perfectly honest... I probably wont wear stockings at all.

I don't think it's tacky at all. You need to be comfortable. I think I agree with most of the girls about doing thigh highs.

I don't think it is tacky, but I would be worried that the knee highs would roll down. People would see it if your dress twirls when you are dancing. Why not get one of each and see whats more comfy?

I was thinking about doing this too. Not having a garter toss and I hate pantyhose.

I agree that thigh-highs would be nicer, but if no one is going to see then who cares. It's going to be a LONG day-you have to be comfortable.

i wore knee highs under my dress, and after pics and ceremony , i took shoes and knee highs off and put on my decorated flip flops that everyone LOVED!! So, first of all, no one WILL ever see under your dress, dresses dont get LIFTED THAT HIGH while your dancing, and dont TWIRL that high either... so IMO i thanked the lord i wore them, they didnt sag, and i didnt have to stop while taking photos to kike up my panty hose or those annoying thigh highs that unless you have the body of a victoria secret model, will just get caught under the skin of where your a$$ cheek meets your thigh and start rolling down!!!!!!
And i did do a garter toss with nothing under the dress but a thong, no one is going to see up into your knish area anyway except DH.. So in closing i say be comfortable because going to pee is a job in itself you shouldnt have to worry about lifting and separating skin from hose all nite...
