I want to wear knee highs under my dress. I have closed toe shoes. I usually have to pee a lot and I am going to be dancing so much (i love to dance). THerefore, I dont want to deal w/ reg stockings or thigh highs. I will not be doing a garter toss. But mom still says I cant wear knee highs.
I say be as comfortable as you can. It's your day and no one except your future husband will see anyway!
I don't think it is tacky at all!!!
The other option is to not wear anything at all-knee highs, stockings, thigh highs, etc. Who's going to know except for you!
Why bother wearing them at all then? I'm skiping hose altogether.
Okay dont get upset but I do think it's tacky. I mean your in a beautiful gown and all. Why wouldn't you want to wear something a little sexy. You can wear a garter and thigh highs. Just my honest opinion.
I do think they are a little matronly, I don't think tacky, but if no one can see then maybe you can pull it off. You never know someone may see if you lift your dress a little. Or why not go with nothing at all.

Not only is it not a 'HORRIBLE CHOICE' (by the way, perhaps qualifying that with an explanation would be advisable), it is one many brides make. I would consider thigh hisghs rather than knee highs as dresses twirl get lifted and you don;t want it to show in photos...as for those, I will be doing the same thing. I want the access to use the loo and noone will know. Your day, your choice.
I say go with thigh highs. I did this & had no problems using the bathroom. The crinoline under the dress can be a little irritating if you do not wear stockings.
I'm of the group that voted who cares but I did purchase thigh highs from Victoria Secret years ago that actually stayed up(I DON'T have little thighs either). They were really comfortable if you wanted to feel a little sexy under there.
Honestly its not tacky, but they could sag...and that would be bad very very bad....I saw thigh higs, honestly they aren't as bad as they sound
IMO, I think you should go hose commando...maybe little sheer foot socks so your feet won't get all sticky and pinched..I wore regular hose but only for some support.
I say be comfortable - you are going to be SO HOT in your dress that you want to wear whatever makes you comfortable. When I went to get fitted for my corset, the lady who helped me said you wanted to wear comfy underwear etc - and change into something sexy when you get back to hotel or wherever you will be at end of night. Take my word for it - you are going to be in your dress for MANY hours - be as comfy as you can!!!

That sounds like a good ide; a pair of those little foot covers. I think I may have to go with that!![]()
