10:30am - 1pm: time at the spa. bride will get a BIG package. the rest of us will do 1-2 services (whatever we can afford)
1pm - 5pm: lunch and wine tasting and a wine bar
5pm - 8pm: scavenger hunt
8pm - 11pm: dinner
11pm - whenver: dancing and drinks
we *may* get a hotel to freshen up/change/chill, but not sure
is that too much for one day? does it sound exhausting?.
need honest feedback
THANKS!!

Re: tell me if this is too much for one day???
sounds like a really long day and a really EXPENSIVE day...
i would maybe do:
1-3:30: spa 3:30 - 6: shower, change (i always have to shower after getting massages and facials bc i feel nasty!) 6-9: dinner (maybe at a wine bar?) 9-12: scavenger hunt 12-whenever: whatever else
eta: ^^ that's still a pretty expensive day. if you're thinking of the cityhunt scavenger hunt they're around $75-100 per person depending on how many people and which one you do, plus the spa will prob be around $100 pp. so with the spa, dinner, and scavenger hunt you're looking at at least $250 pp just for themselves - not including whatever they put in to cover the bride.

That is a loooooooong day. It sounds like a lot of fun. What's the scavenger hunt about? I might nix the scavenger hunt (or if it's what I'm thinking it is then maybe just do it while you're out drinking/dancing) and then push everything down a few hours. But it's totally up to you and the girls- if they're up for it, go for it!

Just to make the day easier on everyone, I'd consolidate/knock out one of those things, most likely the scavenger hunt.

Re: tell me if this is too much for one day???
the scavenger hunt is only $43pp. its an organized thing - murder mystery at the met. the bride likes art stuff, so it could be fun
i priced it out, and it should be less than $300pp (inluding covering the bride)
does it still seem like too much?
the bride wanted 'low key', so i dont know how long the dancing will really be...so i didnt want the whole night to focus on drinkin/dancing
kwim
but if it sounds too much, i need to know!

i think i'd still take out one thing... maybe the lunch and wine bar? and have dinner at a wine bar to combine the two?

ITA. I'd start it later in the day.

If you're not going to do drinks/dancing for the most part, then I think it sounds like a great day. BUT $300 is a little bit expensive for one day without a hotel or anything. I also think that after the spa, people might want to change/freshen up.

Well in that case I think it sounds great. I would just leave time to freshen up - probably between lunch/wine tasting and the scavenger hunt.

Re: tell me if this is too much for one day???
i think my sil would kill me if i planned a day like that for her. lol
if i got invited to something like that i would skip a few. plus $300 imo is a little much. gotta factor in all the other cost of being a bm.

That honestly doesn't sound low key and is a lot of $$. I'd do the spa/wine tasting and thats it.

tryin to plan a b-party day...need feedback

THANKS!!
i think the spa idea is great and lunch afterwards sounds good too... but maybe just give some down time after lunch instead of the wine tasting to have everyone relax, shower, change etc... you'll probably be feeling tired and loopy after a day at the spa and a nice lunch! haha then you can do dinner, maybe order in at the hotel since you've already done lunch out? and then finish it off with the scavenger hunt (which ive done before and you will LOVE!) that way after the scavenger hunt is over people can decide should we continue the party or not? Just a thought! they are all great ideas though!
Also, could you span any of this out on two days? like a friday night do the scavenger hunt, stay at the hotel and sat morning get up and do the spa? just another idea.... HTH!

Why not ask the girls who are invited? Get their feed back. Also, you have things on top of each other, so make sure you account for travel time from one destination to another.

This is the thing, since you're doing it here (I'm guessing anyway) people can pick and choose what they want to do. If they don't want to do the spa they can come later on... if they want to skip dancing they can go home before that... if the bride is in to art keep the sacvenger hunt. Those can be a lot of fun and since I'm the same way I would prefer that over dancing/drinking.
