Father/Daughter: Kind and Generous
Mother/Son: I like You Raised Me Up but FH hasn't decided yet.
Last Song: Con te Partiro (Time to Say Goodbye)by Andrea Bocelli

I always love these threads...I'm so excited about my musical 'theme' - Bon Jovi is one of the reasons we met in the first place, so that explains it....

Parents entrance: '2001 Space Odyssey' (Elvis' entrance music- FH's idea since he and his dad are HUGE Elvis fans)
BP entrance: 'Ready 4 This' by 2 Unlimited (the same song the Yankees take the field to- another part of our theme)
Now the REAL musical theme takes over....

Our entrance: Intro (drums) of 'Lay Your Hands on Me' (FH's idea) into 'Livin' on a Prayer'

First dance: 'Thank You For Loving Me'
Garter: 'Lay Your Hands on Me' probably my fave choice cuz it makes me giggle!
Bouquet Toss: 'Raise Your Hands'
Cake Cutting: 'Captain Crash and the Beauty Queen from Mars' (totally obscure song about a crazy couple)
Spotlight dance: 'You Had Me From Hello'
Final dance: 'Never Say Goodbye' (I think)
Last song played: 'New York New York' just like at Yankees games!

I hope our guests won't be losing their minds at all the Bon Jovi songs! Granted, they're all short moments of the night anyway.

Garter Removal: I told FH he was in charge of this and do you know what he suggested?! Promiscuous Girl --- he can be so silly sometimes... totally not appropriate!

Cake Cutting: We want Rags to Riches by Tony Bennett - I love that song and think it's fun but parents think it's weird...

Last Dance: Please Come to Boston by Jim Croce --- since we're moving to boston after the wedding we thought this was appropriate...

*Must play slow songs: 'Maybe I'm Amazed' by Paul McCartney and then Vin is going to pick one for me but it is a surprise. 'Please Forgive Me' by Bryan Adams... That's about it.

*Must play dance songs: Classic Michael Jackson, 'Can't get enough of your love babe' -Barry White, etc... Things like that!!

OMG! my friend jaime got married last november...and her and her man are the biggest Bon Jovi fans! they also had that as their first dance. it was so awesome! i even made a video fo it and posted it on youtube!!!

bon jovi fuking rocks! just saw them last summer at the Meadowlands....3 straight hours of awesome music....best concert!

Did you know that there is a newer version of Frank Sintra singing it with Celine Dion as a duet?? It's SO gorgeous... Just thought I would let you know incase you want to check it out.

I love the song one more time by daftpunk, i was actually thinking of starting off the night with that, well after the first dance song, and then i'd battle fh to the daftpunk song im pretty good but sadly hes better and can beat me lol, but we do dance pretty much the same.

im the same way too with some songs...the last dance especially, i love the andrea bocelli song but my friends suggested an upbeat song, which is a great idea...I think most people go back on forth about some things.

I'm guessing 'Through the Years' b/c it's just about all Kenny Rogers did in terms of music that was actually LISTENTED to by people LOL he basically put out that song and opened a chain of chicken restaurants LOL

But I have to say-- it's a pretty song and makes me cry!
