I made an appointment for MIcroderm with my dermatologist for next week. I have never had it before, but she recommended it to me so i figured i would give it a try. She told me that it would not cause any redness so i wont have a problem being that my wedding is in about 2 months. She also said i can do them as often as i want (although it is $$ which is why people usually do it only once a month), typically you need up to 5 treatments to really start seeing the effects.
She did say that i might notice a difference right away in my skin though....so if all goes well i am hoping to get in at least 2 treatments before the wedding, maybe 3 depending on how i respond to it.
Who has had it and what were your outcomes? did you notice a change right away? Also, how close together have people gotten treatments? I will talk to the dermotologist about it again, but i just feel nervous having the treatments done so close together.

Re: Tell me what you know about Microdermabrasion...
I have had this done a couple of times. I noticed a difference IMMEDIATELY. I have combination skin that tends to get dry around my nose and chin. My skin is also very blotchy. My skin felt so soft and so healthy for at least a week. Gradualy my skin started to dull yet again.
It looked good a second time!
Then it passed.................
it is definitely a quick fix, without any real longevity.

ah, good to know. I have combination skin too, and i HATE IT! The only thing that has worked for me (to my liking) is antibiotics. I was on them for close to a year though and my Dermatologist took me off a while ago and refuses to put me back on them. She insists that i 'dont really have acne anymore' , which i guess is true but it just felt like my face was much smoother when i was on the antibiotics. Now I am on topicals and they dry my skin out.
Anyway, if i have a similar response that you did to the microderm than i can prob squeeze in 3 treatments before the wedding! It's just $ and i am broke right now, lol
