Tell me Your Review for these Reception Halls - Please

Tell me Your Review for these Reception Halls - Please

I've visited a few reception halls trying to find that one that will make me say 'WOW' when I see it and not get scared once I see the cost per person.

If you been to a wedding or had your wedding and just visited these places, please tell me what you think. A lot of the reviews on here are old.

I am almost up to 10 reception halls visits. After awhile they are starting to look the same

Im looking for a place that has a option of a outside wedding. I want the grounds of the place to look gorgeous. Garden view and maybe a view of the water would be nice. Some of the places I visited that had outside ceremonies you can hear the cars drive by. God forbid if someone beeps their horn during my vow (LOL)

I would also like the cocktail hour to be outside and a inside reception. Of course I want the food to be good.

So some of the places I've been to are

Swan Club , Fox Hollow, North Ritz Club, Chateau La Mer, Harbor Links, Bridgeview Yacht Club, Planting Fields, Jericho Terrace, Thatch Cottage, Timber Point and this weekend I am going to see The Coral House, Crest Hollow Country Club and Westbury Manor. 'whew that is a lot'

If you have suggestions, reviews or advice please let me know. I don't want to spend no more than 125 per person. If I can get it less than 100 would be great for a Saturday wedding.

I want to get married in 2013 July or August and I know dates are filling up. Please help me

Nicole

Check out the woodlands!!! (I am biased of course!) It is right down the road from Crest Hollow... outdoor ceremony is possible and cocktail hour can open up onto the outside porch if it is nice weather! Gorgeous venue with lots of elegant character. Definitely can be in your price range for a Friday night.

We liked Timberpoint but ultimately chose Bellport CC because of the food and layout of the ballroom. The people at tp are great.

I've been to two weddings at the Coral House, mines and a friend of mines. The place is beautiful, the staff was easy to work with and the price was reasonable.

Hello as someone who looked at thousands of places..i also saw Swan Club , Fox Hollow, Chateau La Mer, Bridgeview Yacht Club, Jericho Terrace, Thatch Cottage, Crest Hollow Country Club and Westbury Manor. as just some of mine lol!

I am getting married at Larkfield Manor..while it doesnt have the original ocean view i wanted..im in LOVE with the gazebo (lets hope for sun that day ha) for the ceremony. The cocktail hour is inside and out so your guests choose where they want to be (which is not an option at most places). There is a little garden area..and ive seen peoples pics from there and they come out gorg.

Cresthollow and westbury manor are also very nice :)

The price at larkfield and the customer service cant be beat!

feel free to FM me if you have any other questions, I barely come on here on a reg basis but if you FM me ill get it :)

out of all you mentioned, we visitedFox Hollow, Swan Club, Coral House and Crest Hollow. They all have very different character. Swan Club was beautiful, but seemed a bit on th smallish side and didn't have the wow factor we were looking for, Coral House was too old-fashioned and Fox Hollow only gave the option of selecting one room because the other 2 were out of our price range; while I liked the RH, didn't like that we had to have it in the WGP.

Crest Hollow gave us the wow factor immediately and we had a lot of room, food and extra options to choose from!

I'm a little biased obviously, since I'm having my reception at the Thatched Cottage The food is AMAZING and so is the staff. Timberpoint is beautiful - I had my jr prom there, and have been there for several other events. The only other one I've been to for a wedding is the Coral House - and to be honest, it wasn't one of my favorites. But that's a personal opinion lol.

HTH! Good luck with your search!

When we chose ours we went to a couple of the ones you mentioned. Swan Club, Fox Hollow, Jericho Terrace, Westbury Manor & Crest Hollow.

Swan Club was very nice, but to small for us and not the feel we wanted.

Fox Hollow was very nice we just couldn't see the wedding there.

We have been to so many weddings at Jericho Terrace it lost its allure for us.

Westbury Manor was nice and the grounds were very nice.

But when we went to Crest Hollow we just knew. I absolutely loved it from my BM to the grounds, the pool, the rooms.. Everything got us!! I am more partial since we booked here but we absolutely loved it!! They have their coctail hours outside by the pool (we are having that) and it is so pretty!!

I copy and pasted my review for Bridgeview Yacht Club below. HTH.

Reception Hall – Bridgeview Yacht Club – A+++ - They were beyond amazing. We worked with Kathy even though Eric was there the day of the wedding. Both of them were very professional and great to work with. I brought all our stuff there a few days before and Eric and Bridal attendant were there to take notes about where everything goes. When we arrived after the ceremony the Bridal attendant was right outside the limo helping me out. We walked in and we were taken up to our private bridal suite. We wanted to do pictures so we would be able to make it to the cocktail hour. Even if we wanted to stay upstairs they had some private stations there for us and the bridal party. We didn’t get to eat much at the CH but everyone tells us that the food was the best they had ever had at a wedding. There was so much food. They gave us an extra station because we didn’t have our minimum of 150 guests. The Coney Island station was a huge hit as well as the mussels and fried calamari (my grandmother says the best she is ever had and she is the best cook I know)! The main room was decorated the way I wanted and the food for dinner was amazing. I had the Orange Roughy, it was the best fish I ever ate in my life! Bridgeview even packed us up boxes of food and had all our stuff packed before we left for the night. I am sooo happy we went with them. We had an absolute great experience at Bridgeview, future Bridgeview brides have nothing to worry about your wedding will be amazing. O and there are amazing places outside to take pictures.

Swan club- my sis in law had her wedding there....very beautiful but a little small

Coral house- old fashion and don't like the fact that it's right next to a gas station...not a great look.

Crest hollow- amazing grounds, price was great, pool area if you are going for that nice summer Miami beach theme

How about Lombardi's on the Bay?

The outdoor ceremony is gorgeous and right on the water, no noise from cars!!

you can have outdoor/indoor CH on the patio, they have pretty lounge furniture outside and bistro tables

the room is stunning, simple and elegant

and the food is amazing, food speaks for itself, Lombardi's are notoriously known for having good food

the service at my wedding was top notch, paid attention to every detail and took such great care of us!

I dont know what 2013 prices are, but when we were getting married, they would deffff be in your price range

I am not sure if fox hollow and north ritz have big grounds. Look at bridgeview, riviera, lombardis on the sound and lombardis on the bay, or Ventian Yatch club

also Woodbury CC and Westbury manor have beautiful grounds

I am booked at Swan Club in the Garden Room. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous! The ceremony area is beautiful and you get and out door feel with out having to worry about the weather. You are inclosed so you are safe from rain, ac/heat but its all glass so you can view the beautiful gardens and water. Price was great, ppl we worked with have been great.

We are getting married at the Swan club because we loved the grounds... thing is you are getting married in what they consider peak season,
We are getting married on a sat night in april with $89 per person

Maybe reconsider your dates??

We looked at swan club, thatched cottage, metropolitan, carlyle on the green, chateau la mer, Crescent beach club - picked chateau la mer - waterfront, indoor outdoor cocktail hour, high ceilings, everyone we have been dealing with has been absolutely amazing
