I went to see temple israel in lawrence last night. it was beautiful! The shul was so traditional but the cocktail room and ballroom were so modern, like a modern hotel! it was really amazing. does anyone have any experience with them or have been there for a wedding?

I was there 2 years ago for a wedding and it was amazing! I remember having so much fun, the CH was unbelieable. They had 'chicken shots' which was basically you eat chicken on a stick and then you take a shot. It sounds strange but it was great! (My friends and i still talk about the chicken shots). The sanctuary is gorgeous.

I used to work for the owners. The place is beautiful and my only words of advice are negotiate, negotiate, negotiate.

really, thats great to hear, since the prices are def. up there. do they really budge on price? or will they add in extras for no additional charge?
