temple/kosher wedding with large cocktail room?

I'm looking to have a temple wedding in Long Island (preferably Nassau County), and so far the temples I looked at have very small cocktail rooms so it seems like it would be really crowded and not as enjoyable. I am planning to have at least 200 people, and I am trying to figure out if any of the temples or maybe even catering halls (glatt kosher) have large enough cocktail rooms to seat 200 people. Most of them tell me that they can do seating for about 100 people, which they say is 'ideal for mingling', but I really want something spacious where guests can find a seat if they want one. Also, I don't like the idea of having 210 people crammed into a room that has a maximum occupancy of 150.

If you know of anything, please post places that you think I should go check out. And on the flip side, please post places that you know have very small or crowded cocktail rooms, so I know what to skip.

Check out the Royalton. The cocktail room is a decent size, and they also have an outdoor area. I had 170, and it was fine....people even commented on how much room there was to sit at the cocktail hour.

A friend of mine got married at Temple Beth El in Cedarhurst and had about 300 people. The cocktail hour had something like 10 or 12 stations - I'd never seen a cocktail hour that big and with that much food. Some of her out-of-town guests thought it was the actual reception! I'd recommend it.

Here's a link to her short review:

My cousin got married a few years ago at Woodbury Jewish Center and I think the cocktail hour room was a nice size.

DH still talks about how great the food was!

Leonards of Great Neck does Kosher catering, and they have various size rooms, so you may want to talk to them
