Tent Wedding

Planning on having a tent wedding at my parent's home. Anyone ever do this? Any tips, ideas, suggestions etc...?

I know someone who has but don't know details. sorry.. I think it can be pricey since you need to rent a tent, provide the food and alcohol.

yeah, i thought someone else on here was going to do that, but then opted to have a more traditional wedding at a hall because it was the same price. but i don't remember who it was, sorry.

but if you're doing this, here's a (probably incompliete) list of things you need:
-- food / caterer
-- alcohol / drinks and a bartender
-- valet parking company
-- tent rental
-- chair and table rental
-- linens / napkins
-- plates and silverware
-- and then the 'usual' things like flowers, photographer, etc.

that might've been me. I really wanted a tented wedding but after pricing things out, it became really expensive and alot of work fast. you have to pay site fee, rent everything that a hall would have including tables, chairs, linens, silverware etc, decorations, the floor, catering, etc.

I still LOOOOVE how the look and feel of them though
