Teri's List aka the Grocery Game..I have questions

I chose the store I normally shop in.
I signed up for the $1 month trial.

I should have started it tomorrow because I'm not going shopping today and the list ends today.

So some things are just sales and some are just coupons? and some are both sales and coupons?

And the black type - those are sales but not great sales - so should I buy them now or not?

And she says to buy the black type things at Costco or BJ's - but those stores dont have sales. Or is it that the price of the stuff at Costco/BJ's is still going to beat what you get in the store?

Do I have to buy everything on the list? I don't need or like everything on the list.

At first I didn't bother with it because FH doesn't eat alot of processed foods and he does eat alot of irish products that are not normally on sale at my store. But I see that meat and produce are on the list so it's worth it for me in that aspect.

I am less confused than I was before but still, I guess I need to do it to see how it works.

Well I think its all about stockpiling your cabinets with things that are on sale.

She says that only buy the black if you really need it.

Things like butter, Milk and Egg, even meat can be brough at Costco only if its stuff you really need. This way you stockpile at a good price and not overpriced like the super markets are.

ETS: I would just skip things that I never buy.

i have a question about terry's list too - now that the supermarket have stopped doubling the $1 coupons - does that make her system less effective???

every single coupon i got today was for a $1.00 off! i am so annoyed

I know its annoying but on her website she says that the supermarket will only double up to 99c.

The way I see it, its better to save something then nothing at all.
