I agree. If you still want a larger ceremony afterward to renew your vows, you can do it then, but he only gets the one chance for the mother/son dance. All our prayers are with you and your families.

You and your FH and families are in my prayers! Im sure there is a way you can do a small private ceremony with just your parents and then have a nice dinner somewhere and small party somewhere.

I hope everything works out for the best for you and FH...

I am sooo sorry!!!! Again - I will keep you and your fmil in my prayers!! I think it is very sweet and thoughtful of you to have a small ceremony earlier and then renew your vow on 11/10.

Sounds like you have so much heartache and stress that you can barely breathe! I am so sorry that you are under so much stress and that FH is so distraught. I think it is a wonderful idea to get married on Sept. 9th and renew your vows in Nov. I think it will give FH peace of mind knowing that his Mother will pass on knowing her son is married. I pray that you, FH and his family can pull thru this and are able to comfort each other in this time of need.
