I finally decided to splurge and get my invitations made by Tessa. I haven't contacted her yet because I'm still trying to decide on a logical invitation budget. I don;t want to put off contacting her for too long but I was wondering if anyone knows about how long the whole design and production process takes from first contacts to receiving the invitations. I just want to make sure I don't waste too much time. Thanks girls!

Re: Tessa Question
I can't really speak for everyone, but I contacted her about a month ago, and I haven't received the digital mockup yet. She's extremely busy right now, so it's taking her a little longer. She's extremely good with getting back to you on emails though. I DEFINITELY wouldn't wait a second longer.

Re: Tessa Question
I contacted her about a little over a month ago, I'm almost going to get my proof and price quote in the mail, maybe next week or so.
After all the paperwork is taken care of I think she waits until a few months before your wedding to put everything together. I'm getting married in June and I think production for June brides is February.
You can def email her with any questions, she gets back to you ASAP.
Good Luck

Re: Tessa Question
I'm looking to use her too. I was going to hold off and start the process once I order teh BM dresses so my color is finalized. I'm hoping I'm giving myself and her plenty of time for everything

Re: Tessa Question
You should be fine if you're a July bride. She's gotten so busy lately that it's hard to say. I started in July and rumor has it I'm getting my invites next week. So I took 5 months. I don' tknow how long other people have been. The finalizing of the proof and all that took about 2 months and now it's just been waiting my turn for production.

Re: Tessa Question
Hopefully if I place my order in January/Feb it will be enough time to get them all done

Re: Tessa Question
My experience has been...1) Sent her my idea inventory in early October (around 10/10), then received my first mockups in about 2 1/2 weeks (10/27). I didn't love the colors so she adjusted and sent me a new design less than a week later on 11/2. I loved it and am now awaiting proof and paperwork in the mail (I'm #3 on her list for that). She adjusts timeframes depending on your wedding date - my wedding is in June so I keep reminding myself there is PLENTY of time. She'll ask fellow brides who are way ahead of schedule to allow those who need theirs sooner to let a bride go before them at times. She's been an absolute joy to work with in my opinion - my favorite vendor so far. Along with LIW! I've gotten so many ideas from this site.

Re: Tessa Question
For me, I feel like the process has taken quite a bit of time..... I sent her my idea inventory mid Oct, I got 2 designs about 3 weeks later that i didnt like. I just got a new design last week, which needs some tweaking so I am waiting for that. I would get the ball rolling. It seems like there are a lot of girls in line. I felt like I started the process early but now I am getting worried about my time frame. She does beautiful work, so its definitely worth the wait as long as you have the time.

Re: Tessa Question
yeah, I wouldn't wait much longer, she has gotten really busy really quick. I started the process a little over a month ago and I am # 2 on the preliminary design list, no mock up yet. I'm patiently waiting and its killing me!!
