Music..... since I got engaged i feel like every song that comes on the radio, i say, i definitely want that song on my must play list... then i realize i have 500 songs on my must play list... which is not possible... i dont want to dictate every singls song thats played.
What is your number one MUST play song? and your number one DO NOT play song?
Must Play: Jump Around - I know my DJ will play it without it being on the must play list, but this is mine and my cousins song... no matter what type of party we are at this song will have us all running to the dance floor....
Do Not Play: the Macarena... i like group dances, but just not this one... i would rather not hear it
must play - i dont wanna miss a thing - aerosmith. this is 'our' song, but we decided to do something more unique for our first dance song...so they still definately need to play this
must not play - chicken dance. FMIL keeps tellin me they MUST NOT play it that was something EASY to agree to!!!!

Average songs are about 4 minutes long. With a 4 hour party and breaks for introductions, first dance, father daughter dance, mother son dance, and meals there really is about 3-3.5 hours for music that must be played. So I'm going to do math but correct me if I'm wrong. Not including your dinner music...
3.5 hours X 60 minutes = 210 minutes 210 minutes of the party / 4 minutes per song = is only about 52.5 songs played at the wedding
Doesn't seem very high and my math might be wrong but it's just something to think about that was pointed out to me that I didn't even realize!
DO NOT Play: 'Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night,' any group choreographed dances such as macarena and/or electric slide, that cheesey olides mega mix (you know what I'm talking about!)

funny you metion that.... we were talking about that the other day. our Dj told us to expect only 35-40 songs b/c of the 'other stuff' that is going on. It does not seem like enought but when you break it down it makes sense

This was played at my wedding. I didn't know it but DH and his friends know Pat McGuire somehow and so knew the song. We were just re-discussing this again yesterday as a matter of fact!
