Thank goodness for a heating service contract!

Thank goodness for a heating service contract!

So Brian calls me at 10PM saying the boiler is not working and we have no heat in the house. I was like oh jeez. So we called Meenan (our oil company) and they were there within 2 hours and fixed it within an hour. We needed a new motor and fuel pump. The receipt said $600 for the parts and no charge for us since it was included in the service contract we signed last month. Thanks goodness we spent the $80 on the service contract or I would have been a very unhappy camper today. So for anyone who does not have a service contract with the heating company I would definitely get one. We signed with Meenan last month and have been very happy with their service. Let's hope nothing else breaks

May I ask what you are paying per gallon??

Sure $1.79 per gallon for the first drop and then I am on a variable rate and will lock in for a year in the summer time when the rates are lower.

I have meenan too and locked in at 1.79 in december.. They told me the rates will go up in the summer... Guess everyone has a different sales pitch. Also if someone reccommeds you, They get $50 off their next oil drop and you get $50 off of yours. So start recommeding to people they told me their is no like on how many $50 off's you can get..

man! you are full of information! We get our oil from a different company, and have no service contract with them. We were thinking of changing to a different company that we could get a service contract with just in case something goes wrong. I'm definately going to mention meenan to FH! Thanks!

We got a service contract at PETRO 1.49 a gallon. A week after we were in the circulator went and it was all covered. I would agree get a service contract. It is so worth it, even if you lock into a rate and the oil prices are lower, unless you have a contract, you can pay big!
