thank you cards- cash gift

is there a website that tells you how to thank cash gifts or do you have any suggestions?

You should say something like:

Thank you very much for your generous gift. We have opened an account to save for a downpayment on a house and your gift has put us that much closer to our goal.

Or - tell then that you used the money to purchase your new dining room set - or whatever you used it to buy.

And thank them for their generosity
