Thank you cards....I'm cheating

I need to send out my Thank Yous for bridal shower gifts and I just can't seem to concentrate and come up with anything interesting to say. I'm am so not creative and it is almost impossible for me to stare at a blank card and come up with something other than...'thank you so much for your generous gift of....I really appreciated your sharing in my special day (blah blah blah)

Can anybody help me cheat and give me a sneak peek at what they wrote on theirs?

I really don't think there is much other to say that what youve already said. It may not be the most creative phrasing but its what I used and Im sure it gets the point across.

I basically said what you did. If it was someone in my bridal party I added something to acknowledge that, or if they helped out during the shower, I thanked them for whatever they did. Theres not much else youre supposed to say in a thank you card though. Once you write one or two, they will get much easier (and seem the same anyway!)

you should also state how you will use the gift...

John and I will use the money to buy the rest of our China pattern and are very excited to have you over to use it.

Ooooooooooohh....verseit.com! Doesn't have much under the thank you shower section but I found some god stuff under the wedding thank yous that I can steal.

I'll just add a line or two to my original wording. Thanks all.

They sell books for less then $10 on this subject-- I think one is called the bride's guide to thank you notes. I found it really helpful.

I just finished writing all my shower thank-you's and I agree with Yabbobay - You might want to add how you will use or have used the gift. For example, I got a waffle maker from someone and I wrote about how awesome the waffles came out when I made them last weekend, etc., etc. I think it is nice to slightly personalize the thank-you's rather than to write just 'thanks for the gift'. It is always nice to mention what they gave you. Good luck - it took me FOREVER to finish them!
