Thank You cards to co-workers and people that did not attend the wedding...

My office, as well as my mom's office and a few people that couldn't make it to the wedding have sent us very generous gifts. Now obviously family members will get the formal Thank You cards but what about everyone else?

Should I send them informal Thank You cards and lets say make up wallet-size pictures with one of our non-pro pictures, or should I wait until I get my formal Thank You cards from my photographer?

Thanks girls!

I had the same situation, I am waiting to send them a formal thank you...the one I will be sending to people that attended.

I sent a regular thank you note prior and will send a picture one afterwards

I sent 'informal' thank you cards to anyone who gave us a gift before the wedding (and who couldn't attend) and then also sent them the formal ones months later.

I'm sending formal thank you's to people who gave a wedding gift! To the co-workers who gave me bridal shower gifts, I sent them a private thank you card with no photo.

I have the same dilema...but probably will send the formal one to everyone!

When did they send the gifts?

If they arrived PRIOR to the wedding, you should've sent them out already BUT I would just do something quick from Hallmark for now for those and not sweat the 'official' card. Personally, I'd save pictures for Christmas or immediate family anyway...but that's just me.

If the gifts came day of or after, I think you're in the clear to wait to give them the same card as everyone else if you wish to do so.
