Thank You Gift for Parents

Hi-we want to get our parents Thank You presents for their contributions towards the weddng, we were thinking a couple hundred dollars, anyone have any good suggestion?

how about instead of money, you find a nice poem and frame it. ( A Poem about a bride to her parents for you and same thing from the groom) Somebody on here once posted something like that and it was really nice Just a suggestion

A large portrait of your Mom and Dad taken at your wedding. My son and DIL gave us one measuring 24X30 in a beautiful frame. We cherish this gift bec. it's something we would never have done for ourselves.

We're giving our each of our parents an album. We were also thinking of maybe a picture frame. I like LImom's suggestion also. That sounds like a great gift.

Kaangel, I highly recommend it as a gift. What other time besides a child's wedding would we be wearing a gown, a tux and really look our finest? We have it hung above our bed opposite our wedding portrait. My DIL's Mom did the same. I have no idea what it cost, but they combined it as a wedding thank you and a Christmas gift.

For my parents 25th anniversary, we gave them a little trip. Doubletree Inn in Newport, RI. I think it was 2 nights, 2 30 min massage for $189. That might be more then you wanted, so maybe a night in Atlantic City or just the massage?

I'm not gettting married until next sept. but my parents always wanted to go on a cruise to no-where that leaves from manhatten and cruises up the new england coast for 2 nights. I heard it's rather inexpensive and they deserve it... i think it's a great idea!!

I bought my mom a crystal photo of us....

You send them a picture and they imprint the image on crystal. You can purchase it with or w/out lighting. When illuminated, it's really pretty!

i like the idea of a framed pic of parents at the wedding,
you can give them the frame at the rehersal dinner...
i'm getting my parents an album from the photographer, and probably just a frame for the 8 x 10
