I selected $350 because you could always do something less & give a gift. Something personal and very the two of you - as friends..

I said about $250 and not to be cheap or anything but I was in the same situation and I got her and DH a nice china set from her registry that cost me about $300.

i think 400 is a lot
im giving 400 to my cousin getting married on saturday but i think its a lot because of all the other expenses of being in the BP

JMO and im NOT cheap

ETA: If i were having a BP, which im not, just my sister
i would tell them no gifts because of all the other expenses but; thats just me
