My engagement party was this weekend. I received many thoughtful gifts but also many checks/money. What should I say in the Thank You card. How do I write a thank you for someone who gave $$$$. Anyone have a sample thank you card? or anyone great with words?

I wrote stuff like,
Thank you so much for the generous gift! It will really come in handy as we save for our house!
or..
it will really come in handy as we plan for our wedding!
things like that!
and we ended a lot of things with 'We look forward to seeing you at the wedding!'
and for the people who sent $$ who didn't attend the e-party, I wrote,
I'm sorry you weren't able to attend our e-party, but we look forward to seeing you at our wedding!

Ditto - I thanked them for their generous gift - even if they didn't give a lot of money - I figured whatever they were able to give is generous!!!!
