I'm writing out Thank-you cards to everyone who gave my FI and I an engagement gift. What do you write when someone gives you money? I need a few suggestions so that I don't keep repeating myself....

when someone gave us money, I just said thank you for the gift... if someone gave us a physical package, I specified 'thank you for the china, wine glasses....' I also always write that it was wonderful seeing them, and it meant a lot that they attended our shower, wedding.....

thats what i would use- thank you for your generous gift. we're looking forward to seeing you at the wedding.

I usually write ' thank you for your generous gift. It is greatly appreciated and will come in good use.'
