Thank you question

I received some gifts from people who can't come to the wedding. Is it ok to wait until after the wedding to write all of the thank yous together or do I need to do them all now?

Re: Thank you question

Normally I would say write thank you notes as soon as you receive a gift, that is just me I like to get things out of the way,b ut since your wedding is in a few days I think you can wait.

Re: Thank you question

hmm.. don't know.. I think it's proper etiquette to send them out as the gifts come in.. Do you have alot? I would send them out asap so that the guests can get them right away rather than waiting until you get back from the honeymoon..

Re: Thank you question

See, I would wait until after and send them all together. I am getting my thank you cards from the photographer so I would want to send them all the same ones. I went to a wedding in June and just got a thank you card now so I think its fine if you wait and do them all together.

Re: Thank you question

Someone told me the etiquette is if you receive the gifts more than a month before your wedding, you should send your thank-you when you receive the gift. Otherwise it is fine to wait. I had posted to same exact question in Sept/Oct.

Honestly, I am waiting for my thank you pictures to send them all out together. I only got a few (3-4) more than a month before my wedding. But at that time I had a few family issues and was in wedding crunch time that they kind of feel to the side. A few gave me shower and wedding gifts the same day so I did write out thank-yous to those people when I did my shower thank-you's.

Re: Thank you question

We received gifts before the wedding and we sent the TYC right away, we wanted to let them know we received their gift. If you want to send an additional card after so they can have a picture then that would be nice. I say send it now. Etiquette states, send TYC as gifts are received

Re: Thank you question

I wrote out some of the TY cards for non-attending givers prior to the wedding, some I am waiting for the photo. I am only sending photos to Aunts/Uncles and very close friends.
