I'm not going to lie, my panties are kinda in a bunch about one thing. I'm trying to knock off most, if not all, of my thank yous tonight, and this is what's kinda throwing a wrench in.
If you got a gift from 12 people would you send a thank you to each household, or go by the one gift/one card approach?
At first I was feeling very spiteful, but after re-reading the card, it was actually the one that had the most written in it and most well wishes, so damn my soul, now I feel almost guilty. Not enough to completely look past the 40 minute lateness and leaving 1 hour and 45 minutes early bit...but still.
But on the other hand, without going in to too much of course, forget fool me once, fool me twice, this is fool me quadruple and call me Billy Bob the village idiot at this point
Thoughts? Opinions? It's so stupid that it caused a little drama at my otherwise perfect shower, and I feel so much worse for FMIL than myself.

Re: Thank You question
I know it stinks and I wouldn't want to show any more gratitude or thanks than they have shown you and your family respect.... But I would say send one to each household. Do the whole 'bigger person' thing and don't give them any amunition to use against you between now and the wedding. 12 People for one gift??? It must have been a really GREAT gift! (at least I hope it was!)

Re: Thank You question
Sigh...I suppose you're right and I should be the bigger person. It's just REALLY annoying, especially given recent events leading up to this, but what can you do, especially if it's expected behavior?

ITA!! I went thru some nonsense with my FMIL at my shower and just let it go. There is always going to be people who are going to try to ruin your day.

Re: Thank You question
I received a gift from 10 people-some of them were not able to come to my shower, it was a little tedious writing each person their own card, but I did write out each person their own card.

Re: Thank You question
I got a gift from my mother's office and was going to send a thank you to the office.
My mom said I should send a thank you to each person.
And thats what I did. It was only 4 people (not 12) but I decided to bite the bullet and seand each one a TY.

Re: Thank You question
Don't send the thank you at all... Don't force kindness if you aren't truly thankful for the gift. Sorry but i'm just being honest
