My e-party was sat and everybody was giving us gifts and envelopes- long story short- there were no cards attached to the gifts I dont know who gave us what and now i dont know how to word the thank you's- any suggestions??

Wow. That's a tough one. There is no way you can figure it out? If you can, great. If not, maybe just say 'Thank you for celebrating our engagment with us, and thank you for the lovely gift.'
But are you sure everyone gave something? Because if someone didn't, and you write that, wuld they think you were being sarcastic?

by the middle of the party i wasnt feeling no pain i just assumed that the gifts would have cards attached- some i know didnt give anything and some gave a gift and card so im just going to send thank yous to everyone and in the meantime try to find out who gave a gift a call them personally- thanks

the people you knew gave gifts, maybe your mother or his mother could casually ask what they gave?
