Re: need advice relating to bridal party... longish, sorry!
Yes I would
I had this with one of my girls and I just said to her that I would love for her to be a part of our day and she said yes and was really happy.

I would ask them. I asked FSIL to be in mine and we are not that close. I think they would appreicate it if you asked them. If they want to decline, they will!

JUST ASK. ITS ALWAYS AN HONOR TO BE ASKED. BUT LET THEM KNOW THAT IF THEY FEEL THEIR LIVES ARE TO DEMANDING YOU WILL UNDERSTAND!

I think it's a really nice gesture to ask them. I asked my cousin's wife, who I wasn't particularly close to but she's probably the nicest girl I've ever met. There are so few girls in my family that I wanted to include everyone. She was so surprised and thrilled when I asked her and has been very involved and helpful with the wedding planning. Go for it!

if you arent close with them, then why exactly are you asking them? do you have close girlfriends that you could have in it instead?

i'm not asking them because i need to fill roles in our BP. in fact, we'd have 2 more girls than guys if they both agreed. i'd like to ask them because i've never had sisters of my own, so i'm excited to be gaining 2 girls in my family i think it'd be really special to include them. my closest friends will remain in the BP.

It sounds like you want to ask them and you will be family and get closer to them in years to come Plus, their husbands are also dressed. Go for it!

I would definitely ask them, it's a nice gesture and if they want to decline then it's up to them, at least you asked and they will appreciate that you want to include them as well.

I would ask them... think of it this way: sometimes all it takes is a first step in order to make a relationship stronger- you are making that first step. More than 1/2 of my BP is made up of FH's cousins... we have grown extremely close though the years, but I know that they aren't expecting to be in my BP ( I haven't asked yet )... by me taking this step, I know that they will not only be family, but friends for life... Hope this helps!
