Thatched Cottage
I am booked at TC for next summer, and I LOVE the outdoor ceremony and cocktail area, but there is something about the ballroom that I am not crazy about. Have any TC brides considered renting chairs to improve the look? I have never seen it all set up for a party so maybe it looks better... Anyone have pics?? Thanks!

Re: Thatched Cottage
I was at a wedding there about a year and a half ago and didn't notice anything about the chairs. There were no chair covers, but the room looked wonderful. I'm sure you and your guests will have a wonderful time!

Re: Thatched Cottage
hi! yes, you can rent chair covers there for $3/chair. i am also booked there for this summer and i feel the same way about the room. i think once i dress it up a little, it'll look nicer. do you think it's because the ceilings are a little lower than most ballrooms?

Re: Thatched Cottage
I had my wedding there and we used the chair covers, they're new and they looked beautiful. To me it made the whole room come together.

Re: Thatched Cottage
My dad got married there about three years ago. It was beautiful. The outside was perfect and that's what really sticks out to me. I don't remember the chairs.

Re: Thatched Cottage
I am booked there as well and saw it all set a few weeks ago it looked awesome... I had the same concerns I HATED the chairs but you didn't really notice the chairs that much when it was set but I am still going to get the chair covers through them. They quoted me 3.50 a chair cover (you are only paying for dry cleaning) and they offer a cream/ivory color and a burgundy/goldish color one. They were really pretty.

Re: Thatched Cottage
I know you posted on here several years ago, but I'm getting married at Thatched Cottage in May, and am having a hard time picturing what the room would look like with their chair covers. Do you happen to have a picture of it? I'm not particularly fond of their burgandy chairs.
