Hey ladies I went to a wedding this past Friday at Thatched Cottage. It was my friend Sue's wedding (Suzieqshs). She doesn't come on all that often but when she did, she always thought this site was very helpful.(as we all do) We had a blast and Thatched Cottage was great. The cocktail hour was amazing, I seriously felt as if I was in Epcot Center with all the foods. They even had a mashed potato bar!!! YUMMY!!! The DJ was High Energy, Sue loves 80's and requested that he played this for her. What blast, dancing to 'walk like and Egyptian', and 'I'll tumble for you', it was as if we were at the Culture Club in the city. So fun !!! High Energy is great too! The food was great, even though by 10:30 when I got my steak I was buzzed and full already. The wait staff was friendly. The cake was yummy. The wedding itself was a blast. The grounds outside are absolutely beautiful for anyone to have their ceremony there. You would be pleased. Here's some pics Enjoy !!!! Sue's wedding

OMG - is the groom my old high school friend Wes?!?! And is the bestman Mike P? What a small world! LOL! I am SO happy for them (I met Sue once or twice a few years ago when I ran into them around town & she seemed realllly sweet). Thanks for sharing the pics - they look really happy & it looks like everyone had a wonderful time. You just made my night!

Aww how cool. A small world indeed. They are amazing together. Such love came from them that night. It was perfect. They deserved it too =) ...

Glad to hear all the good reviews on the Thatched Cottage. We just booked our wedding for this Nov there. When going for the food tasting plan to make that your dinner for the night.

u can do tables of 10 12 or 14 that is what we did

tables go up to 14 but i would only do 10 if you want ppl to b able to move and b comfy.. and the wait staff won't be bumping into everyone.

Thanks all! I called Thatched Cottage today and they said 12 people. I think 12 is pushing it, 14 must be for the kiddie table

I think thats what convinced me to book there.
That and the fact that I fell in love with it as soon as I walked in. It was between there and Flowerfields but you got soooo much more for your money at TC.
