thatched cottage brides to be or previous brides ??

we went there today to see the hall and the prices we love it .. !! a little on the higher end of $ of where we have been, but its quality to us!
just wondering, not sure if we are going to book,,, but when you sat down to do your contract .. how was negotiating with the venue? i am not a pushy person, and i tend to pay rather than 'make a deal' so i want to know how i should go about getting more for my money and / or how they are on the contract table .. anything specific i should ask for?? etc!! (this can also be answered by any other venue brides as well.. help me im getting closer to my first step!! lol)

we're not booked there but you def dont need to be pushy to get extras! maybe say, 'we really wanted to have X included' and see what they say. Or ask if you can have an upgraded entree for free (say, filet mignon). Also, some places will charge extra for, say a full seafood boat, but if you mention you really wanted shrimp served they may add a small display for free Just ask, believe me there are worse bridezillas (and MOMzillas!!) out there that have asked for far more. Maybe you can even get an extension of time to get more bang for your buck, etc.!!! Hope that helps and good luck!!!

PS: if you get any free upgrades make sure they put it into your contract before you sign!
