What the he$$ is wrong with people? Why do people feel they can do, say and act out when a wedding is involved? I am gonna start keeping a journal from now to the wedding of the stupid sh!t people do and say. Cuz I'm writing a book!
Runner Up My mom goes a funeral a few weeks ago and is having a conversation with her cousin. Mom's Cousin: I hear stephanie's getting married in July Mom: yeah Mom's Cousin: Is it an open wedding? Mom: Open wedding? huh Mom's Cousin: You know, Can anyone come? Mom: No you have to be invited
Grand Prize Winner I have started getting RSVPs back. Most have been decline bc I knew most of FIL people won't travel to NY. So when I get one that says yes I get excited until yesterday. The RSVP said Mr and Mrs xxxx Johnson, Number of persons 3 Wait they don't have kids so who the he11 are they bringing?
This couple who lives in Maryland invited their friend who lives in Chicago to our wedding. The couple is FH's friends and although he knows the girl they invited, she wasn't on our guest list. I am so mad with FH for not telling his friend no when she asked if we are inviting the girl. I am appauled at his friend for inviting her friend. Who invites a grown a$$ person to someone else's wedding? Why would this girl want to spend money and travel for wedding that she was invited by word of mouth through a friend? I just don't get it.
I am mad, but it's funny at the same time. What is wrong with people?
Any one want to make contributions to my book?

I still don't get what an 'open wedding' is. People are nuts!
I've heard that in some parts of the country, people basically just get invited by word of mouth, and anyone that wants to attend just shows up. No formal invites, no RSVPs and usually not a fancy, catered event. It's more casual. I have no idea how you'd plan for something like that when you have no idea how many people will be coming.

Ok....I had one person who never sent back the RSVP...so I emailed & called her. She finally emailed me back and said MAYBE! Maybe....is not an answer. She said she wasn't sure if she was going on vacation....this was only 2 weeks before the wedding! I finally marked her as a no...and another friend of mine says so and so is looking forward to coming to the wedding. I was like, she didn't even respond...she said she was going on vacation. So...I paid for her and she did actually come...but she was on her cell phone the entire time.
We had one of those to DH's cousins. They told MIL they were a yes maybe. I said that is a NO! MIL insisted that they would be there. Well, they no showed and we didn't hear from them for months and then one day we got a card.

I have gotten 3 RSVP cards with no names on them. They just say yes they are coming. Anyone want to tell me how to figure that one out.

Dang that's a tough one....Just hope that all of your other guests send back RSVP cards with names, then you can do process of elimination.
Like someone suggested earlier in the post, it really helps to number the cards before sending them out.

I can't beleive this one. FMIL says what color do you want me to wear. I said what ever you want. She calls FH and goes on about a beautiful white long dress she bought for $250. HE says you can't wear white!!!! She says I was told I can wear whatever I want. Now she is mad at us! Hello! I AM THE BRIDE!

Hey Date...Mate...
Doesn't feel like after all this wedding planning you can...write your own book and call it...the Diary of the Mad bride.....

I can't believe how some people get so crazy (your guests, etc)!!
