1.) didn't get approved for time off, so I'll get fired
2.) i spent all my money in vegas and tapped myself out
3.) my dad may have kidney surgery that day
(#3 i understand, that doesn't upset me at all).

I totally get the excuses BUT have these people never planned a wedding before? We have minimums and planning to do that all surround how many people are coming.

the 'vegas' one really angered me. I mean, you knew about my wedding for a year, A YEAR, you were sent an STD and you couldn't control your spending!?!??!
and the whole job thing, you couldn't lie and say you were family?????
some effort.
someone remind me not to lie to my job to come to things or make sure I'm too low on fundage to do things for people.

isnt that the point of save the dates?????? and if they knew then that they couldnt get off they should have said something to you BEFORE you wasted the postage on a formal invitation!!!!!!!
