i love gladiolas better then callas personality thats what i had for my bouquet. i think pastel color gladiolas in clear glass vases would look great for a may engagement party i think the other centerpiece is beautiful but more for a winter wedding.
i see you getting married in january you should save the centerpieces for your wedding. i love wedding in the winter time there is so much you can do with the deco
I am probably getting married in the Fall 2007, when I registered on this site they were asking for a date, but I still don't have one, so I put the first of 2007...cause it will be sometime in 2007...how do you change in and put not sure?

Here are the arrangements I made myself for my eparty:

Very pretty- If you like them, go for it. You are having your e-party at a really nice hall so I don't think they will look too elaborate. If you were having it at a V.F.W. then I would say it's a bit much.

I think if you used high kinda skinny vases.. you would only need a couple in each-- like two to three-- they are simple and pretty enough without needing a dozen to look full- esp. with their height. My mom has them in her house all the time like this and it looks so simple and pretty--
I cannot imagine it would be too expensive- I really have no idea.. But, aside from renting the vases- it should really not be more than 20 bucks per-- if that much.
If you are doing something simple like that- it may be easier to take care of it on your own-- we are going to do this for our RD-- get relatively low cost vases-- Ikea has a lot-- then get the flowers ourselves from the flower shop. Then you can let people take home the vases if they want. I'm all for hiring a florist when you need to-- but I think it is relatively easy and much less money to do it yourself- I am spending too much money everywhere else!
You have a great point. I'm going to go to some stores tommorow and see what kind of vases they have. Is it possible to tell a florist that you already have the vase and all you need is the flowers?

You can do anything you want-- you can just go in order whatever you need then put them in the vases yourself-- if they are still 'arranging' for you, etc. I bet they will still charge you a lot. I am telling you- go to Ikea or something and find cheap glass vases-- then get a couple of gladiolas- try it out-- that way you can see if you really like it- and you'll be able to play around with it- so you feel confident about doing it yourself- then you'll also know how many stems you will need to fill each vase- and you can plan for a flower budget.

WOW Kim, those are really, really nice. How long before the party did you get the flowers. That's another concern I have if I do my own flowers. Would they stay fresh long enough so the guests could see them? My party starts 7:30 pm. CH and then 8:30p.m. the salad, pasta, dinner, etc.

It will definitely cost way less per table to. $200 per table is definitely a lot. Don't get me wrong I would spend it...but for an e-party....ehhh...quite too pricey. Thanks again though randella, I will let you know how it comes out.
