Does anyone know if you're allowed to do a photo shoot at the Cloisters?

The Cloisters are beautiful. I dont know if you can take pics there but call them and ask, its a nice setting.

I go there ALL THE TIME!!! I know you can do pictures on the grounds with out anyone saying boo (or at least no one ever said anything to me). Now to go inside of the building - i highly doubt it but its worth a call.

yes but you have to get a permit from the parks department and there is a fee

I dont know.... but when i first got engaged i wanted to have wedding at New leaf cafe in fort tryon park and the BM told me i caould also have photos taken at cloisters but i had to apply for permitt and pay parks fee, now whether that meant inside or outside of cloisters i m not sure... I'd say call the cloisters -- (212) 923-3700 and or the parks department... --parks

I work for Parks & Recreation ..on the recreation side though.. I was going to just say the same information on getting the info for the Cloisters and photo shoots.

how expensive was the cafe? we're thinking about looking there for our reception
