They take over your packing boxes when you're busying packing another box.

I don't think Buddy wants us to leave. Shame is he has to stay here in the house. He scares off the mice I've never seen but Jim swears were in the house before Buddy came to the house.

Where are you moving???

I can't imagine how excited you are to finally be able to have your own place!!!!

Our cats love boxes also - very dangerous.....I almost threw one of them out once when she was hiding

My cat does the same exact thing. No matter what type of box it is, even a pizza box. If there's a box in the house, she'll be in it within 10 minutes.

Freedom begins February 28th
The Island of Jim & Ronie will be in Huntington Station.

Happy?? I’m ecstatic!

Jim (bless him) is NOT handling this as well as he thinks he is. He gives a good show, but honestly, he’s never lived on this own besides the military. Even then he didn’t have to pack anything. I think he’s having trouble ‘leaving’ home. I’m doing most of the packing. He refuses to accept that it will be a process. A long but rewarding process.

Perfect example, I found a coffee table, dining table, chairs and TV stand we need. I wanted to buy it and store it in the basement. It’s all sorta build it yourself so it wouldn’t take up a lot of space. Jim?? “You mean more stuff to move?” Now logically whether I move it from the basement with our other stuff in one trip or make a WHOLE extra trip to the store to get it separately, it still has to be moved. Why doesn’t he see that?

I’d like to just rent a truck and move it all out that weekend. I got a feeling Jim, however, will say “Why not just leave XXX here and I’ll pick it up next weekend?” I have to take pity on him. I’ll ‘play along’ with this idea to leave a few things behind to make moving ‘easier’ and we can come back ‘later’ to pick stuff up.

*sigh* The things we do for our hubbies!

Congratulations on the move! Jean moved his stuff in slowly form his parents house too.
Part of it was that he was moving in with me, but he knew we'd be moving soon anyway.

How's Grandma taking it?

and BTW, that cat fits perfectly inthat box! Too cute!

I'm so excited that you two will finally be able to live like a married couple!
no more brothers barging in....no more people going through your stuff....

the transition is really hard - tom's move out of the house was his first ever....so he transitioned into it slowly...and then realized living with me was the greatest gift ever

LOL how cute

Lincoln (fat lazy cat) always has to sit in my suitcase when I am packing for vacation. Always.
