so my friend is getting married nxt week and just had her final mtg with the dj today.. she advised that i take time and really setup a do not play list...bc even though she was working on this for the past 2 weeks, there were many songs she had not thought of that the dj brought up..
so let's start one (and i know everyones taste is different, but maybe this can give us ideas and you can edit to your liking)

OMG me too!! There will be no line dances. Which is apparently a very big deal to FH's family. they love them!
Also on my list - Living on a prayer by bon jovi. I dont actually know why, but the song annoys me! LOL

My FH's family feels the same way!!! His mom was so upset when I said NO chicken dance!!!! She claims people love it. I say it's not a sweet 16 it's a wedding!!!!!!!!!

I think we are all on the same page here hahah ..... I said that no matter who comes up and asks for a group dance song whether it be the chicken dance, limbo, electric slide etc .... you do not have it!!!

I dont mind group dances...they're fun. i dont understand why so many people are against them...i know theyre super cheesy but all the drunk people have so much fun doing it. and everyone ALWAYS gets up for the cha cha slide.
im just not doin the chicken dance- i hate that stupid song. And piano man is almost on the do not play list.

ITA with NO mambo #5...thanks for reminding me, i almost forgot how much i hate that song...but my FH and i freakin love a couple b52 songs! he does a scary good impression of the lead singer and knows all the words to love shack...it's sad, i know, but it always makes me laugh so hard!!!!
Also my DO NOT PLAY list: chicken dance, last dance, we are family, ummm anything by shaggy or jlo....

All I can think of right now is anything by Rod Stewart, though I think FH and I will have to compromise on this and allow 'Maggie May', since it's the only song I can stomach by that freak. He just creeps me out big time...

Oh and At Last by Etta James. I know most people love it, but I can't stand that song.
