The Dress

Girls, I need your expertise here. I have been searching for the perfect dress. I live out of the area so it is difficult for me to get home to look but I have now been to six stores. I have found dresses I like alot but none that I feel is perfect in every way HOWEVER my wedding is on October 12th of THIS YEAR...is it too late to keep looking? Should I settle on one of the dresses I LIKE instead of holding out for the one i will LOVE?

I say hold out - its one of the biggest days of your life. Keep searching - you'll find it!!!! Good luck!!!

you have a little more time, but not a lot. i ordered my dress for our october wedding in january and the store said 8-9 months.

Don't settle, you still have enough time to search and you will find 'the one'.

You still have a little time, keep looking. I wouldn't go past the end of April.

what are you looking for? I have at least a gazillion pictures clipped with store information - I can see if I have any research that might be of interest for you...

Hi...I can totally relate to you..I felt the same way you did not too long ago. There were a couple of dresses I liked but nothing wowed me but I was starting to get panicked..(I am Oct 12th as well)
I would say keep looking a little more..You will find the one you Love and be happy you did. I just bought mine last week and they said I was fine time wise...I think 4 months before was when the store i bought at said they add 'rush' charges.
If there is anything I can do to help let me know..I feel like I went to almost every store in the city =)

you can look by where you live too - so you don't limit your dress shopping to trips to LI.

Once you find the dress - you can always call one of the LI Bridal Salons and have them order whichever dress you've found.

I think you have some more time. They told me my dress would take 7 months and it was in 4.
